Driving from SDCC to LAX I would allow at least 3 hours. And I know that drive very well. I grew up in Hawthorne (right next to LAX) and went to school at UCSD...so I made the drive many many times. Also, I work at LAX and it can be a nightmare....especially in the summer. Long line to check-in ...

Never had a comic with a sticker on the cover, but I've removed lots of stickers from action figure cards. What works best for me is the blow dryer method. Heat the sticker with a blow dryer until it gets nice and warm and it peels right off! Usually takes all the gum residue with it. Works really ...

Valiant had a guy in a XO suit at the SD Comic Con around '92 or '93. It was pretty cool lookin' in a kind of hokey way. Somewhere I have a picture of it, I'll try to find it, (this will entail going through actual albums and envelopes of paper photographs because this was before the age of the ...

WARNING! Once you see what Valiant had to offer, you will probably be hooked. This can lead to a large expenditure of time and money. If this is a risk you are willing to take, then I too recommend the Trade Paperbacks as an inexpensive way to test the waters. Try Harbinger and XO. Those two titles ...

Let's not forget about the ravages of time. I read once that approximately 5% of any given paper collectible is detroyed every year from natural disasters. Fires, floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, and even young siblings destroy year after year. 5% may not seem like much, but year after year it adds up.

Im noticing the more I buy on ebay, the more sellers wait for ME to give THEM a feedback before I actually get one back as a buyer.

If I buy, I pay immediately. Usually if I get a feedback from the seller right away, its everything they said it was and sometimes then some. :thumb:

But if they ...

Just a tidbit of related trivia. Faust is a character that goes way back in legend and lore. There was a novel published long ago called "Doctor Faustus" that is renowned in literary circles. Anyway, the character Faust, his claim to fame was that he was the guy who sold his soul to the devil.

So far I've been lucky... :hope: . Slowly but surely the supply gets eaten by the ravages ...

It is hard to predict what is going to happen next. More often than not, I'll turn the page at a critical point in the story, and ...

My favorites from Image were WildC.A.T.s and Gen-13. I really liked Gen-13. Scott Campbell's art in those early issues was amazing. And the Gen-13 kids kind of reminded me of the Harbinger kids, only more contemporary.

Yeah....to much X-Stuff. But like most long standing titles, the quality comes and goes with the creative teams. The titles I consider the "core" X-Men titles are "X-Men" and "Uncanny X-Men", and IMHO they have produced more good issues than bad over the past few years. Also, the new kid on the X ...
