WTS: CGC and Raw Valiant lots and Keys
Hi all. I finished listing my books (the ones I'm willing to part with) on eBay. Rather than copy a long list here, I'm going to give a link to all my eBay listings. You can poke around there, or specifically search for something you're hunting. There are a few non-Valiant books as well that might i...

Unity TPB Graded by CGC
Why doesn't GPA have the Unity TPB listed? I KNOW it's been graded; I've seen it on eBay. For awhile I think it was too thick to grade, but clearly that's no longer the case. Wanted to know what prices it's been realizing in 9.6 (which is apparently the highest it can get because of the signatures -...

Re: Logistics of Selling
Yes tford1972, that makes sense. I guess I'll have to post 2 prices: one with the taxes and fees built in, and the other with no taxes or fees. We'll see how it goes.

Logistics of Selling
Hi all. I wanted to list some Valiants I'd like to sell. But I'd like to know the logistics of the transaction. I presume PayPal is the preferred method of payment for most buyers/sellers? Does everyone do "Goods and Services" or if someone is a trusted member, is it sold using "frien...

Re: Unity Diamond TPB 1 & 2 CGC
I'm the owner of the Unity Diamond TPB 1 and 2 graded CGC 9.6 [both]. I was told they were CGC 9.8 but will get the green label for unverified signature. Thus, the CGC 9.6 blue label. Cool. Did you submit them as "magazines" or just as regular modern comics? And that seems very short-sigh...

Re: Pressing a Solar 10 or other Card Stock Covers
Yeah, I've got about ten copies of Solar 10, and there's not even ONE without a crease! Drives me crazy. Don't remember where/how I got them (it was a looooong time ago). Makes me wonder if they all came from the same dealer, and that dealer let them all fall over in the box; or if the book is just ...

Re: Unity Diamond TPB 1 & 2 CGC
Thank you Greg and Chicio.
So it would seem they can be graded. Kind of odd that only 1 of each has ever been graded.
Well... I'll send mine in, and hopefully double that number!

Pressing a Solar 10 or other Card Stock Covers
Hi. I just posed a question about grading Unity Diamond TPBs. But I figured this question deserved it's own thread: Anyone have any luck pressing Solar 10? I've got a few copies that are in dire need of pressing; but I'm hearing that CCS won't do it because it's embossed. Likewise, wondering about h...

Unity Diamond TPB 1 & 2 CGC
Hey all, I've got a couple BEAUTIFUL copies of Unity Diamond TPB 1 & 2, and I'd love to get them graded by CGC. I called them to ask if they would grade them, and while I didn't get anything definitive, I was told they could be graded under the "magazine" submission, so long as they ar...

Re: Please Help Identify this X-O Comic (Variant?)
Thanks for the info! And that website looks like a fantastic resource... so thanks for pointing me there as well. Finally... ummm... are they kidding me??? There are 39 (THIRTY NINE!?) different covers for X-O Manowar vol.4 #1. My goodness did they ever overdose on the whole variant cover thing or w...

Please Help Identify this X-O Comic (Variant?)
All the copies of this book have either black lettering for the X-O (or gold lettering for the more rare variant).
But I can't find ANY examples of my GREEN lettering in the ValiantFans price guide, nor on eBay, nor on CGC.
So... ??? What's up with this book?
Thanks.

Re: Solar, Man of the Atom #1 variant???
Ha. Just found one on eBay! Only 5,000 dollars.
Well... at least I know it's a real 'thing' and that CGC actually acknowledges it.

Re: Solar, Man of the Atom #1 variant???
Here you can see the contrast between the RED and ORANGE in one photo.
And the other photo I tried to get in closer to the one you can see through. Weird.

Re: Solar, Man of the Atom #1 variant???
While I'm at it... Check this out! I've got a few copies of Ninjak 1; and it's the highlight color (used for the right side of the letter N, then wrapped around the other letters) is clearly supposed to be RED. I've got 2 copies that look like that. Then I've got 3 copies that are more ORANGE. And F...

Re: Solar, Man of the Atom #1 variant???
Yes. From my 39 copies... ignoring the sort of in-between ones, and just counting "clearly blue" copies. I've got a 7-1 ratio of purple to blue. Does that hold up among higher sample sizes? No idea. Does that make the blue "mistake" copies worth more? Haha... hope so! I may try a...

Re: Solar, Man of the Atom #1 variant???
Thanks for the input. I guess I'll just assume 'normal variation in inks' and not a true variant. :? FYI... for reasons that I truly can't remember, I somehow have 39 copies of Solar 1! So I have a decent sample size on hand to examine. Of my 39 books, only 5 were "blue" and the rest were ...

Solar, Man of the Atom #1 variant???
I was going through a stack of Solar, Man of the Atom #1s and I began to notice a very clear and repeated difference. In the upper right corner it is very noticeably BLUE on some copies, and very noticeably PURPLE on others. Initial poking around has turned up nothing in terms of known variants, or ...
