Re: Solarman and Solar Lord

I have a couple issues of Solarlord because I will buy anything by Khoo Fuk Lung but I have yet to read anything by him. I just really dig the artwork. Once I have a few series finished up I can actually sit and read them.

Never even heard of Solarman.

Trinity was *SQUEE*. There is no other way to describe it. I enjoyed Spawn more and I dropped that like it was hot halfway through #3.

DC Comics Presents 100 Page Spectaculars

I am loving the DC 100 page spectaculars that have been put out over the past couple years. They reprint some brilliant stuff and some really obscure stuff too. I have recently started picking them up if I find them at a reasonable price but how many of them have there been?

He didn't lose an arm. Don't worry.

The series is by no means great. It took me a while (5 months) to try it because I cannot stand Scott McDaniel but it was ok.

Re: Some people have no clue on value of stuff.

I had a young woman in today giving me gyp because Draco told her uncle that the '90s comics he brought in to sell us (that were actually hers - he thought we would rip her off because she is a girl) were pretty much worthless because they weren't in their "original packaging". He actually...

Re: Thinking about getting back into Magic The Gathering

I recently grabbed a few MtG bits so that I can get back into the game in preparation for selling the cards in the shop. I grabbed 2 theme decks and a fat pack. I played a few games with my sister so I could get the hang of it again and then de-constructed the decks and created 3 decks using the dec...

Re: Anyone use Drawerboxes?

Good points - your stuff is easy to access. Boxes are sturdy. Internal drawer reinforcement comes with them and allows for easy organisation into batches of about 25 comics. They look neat Bad points - cost. You do need some form of external reinforcement (i.e. a shelving unit of some description) f...

How many pages is a standard comic? between 20 and 25, something like that? At $2.99 or 3.99 four issues (ie. the equivalent page count) you are looking at $10-14. 100 pages of original material bqy solid creative teams for 8 bucks doesn't really seem so bad. If that were bound better, you would be...
