Re: Virgin - Issues List

Good call dude, also wanted to pick your brains about some underground pricing or where best to source the info. I have two nice boxes of differing aged underground lots and not sure where to begin other than ebay listings and sold listing :) cheers Here's an excellent page if you need to determine...

Re: Virgin - Issues List

Struggling to find photo reference for some of the previews and covers on gamekeeper vol 1. What do people use for finding covers other than ebay now? Been so long since I had time to do anything other than work, finally getting back to my DU master wants lists has been so much fun, yet infuriating...

Re: Milestone - Issue List

Rather out of the blue last week, I decided that I should learn a little about the Milestone imprint. I'm sure I have first issues somewhere in my boxes, but I don't really recall anything about these books. Is there any particular reason to start with one book versus another? It seems like many en...

Re: Quick eBay searches for Dead Universe books...

When I click on the links, it seems like it's only picking up on the last bit of the search string, so it's not actually picking up on terms to actually search for. For example, when I click on Ultraverse, only these terms show up in the ebay search field: -auth* -marv* -iron -transf* -optim* -robo...

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Comics Of Any Era

Which issue did you find with a color test on the top, Draco? WOP 0? Warriors of Plasm# 0. the one with staples, not the one embedded in the previews :) There were i think two versions with staples giving out to staff and for marketing purposes, one with two staples and examples with three, though ...

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Comics Of Any Era

I've got to think the Splatterball comic is getting more expensive. It's certainly getting harder to find. IM so out of the loop, what is the no deal edition, im sure i ahev all in single form and in binders from every print, but they are in deep storage :) Three editions of Splatterball exist. The...

Re: Canadian Comic Universe

Has there been any progress on this universe? Still chugging along. They announced they are part of FCBD so they'll have a book in that. As far as Universe titles, which according to their site is named Chapterverse. Captain Canuck despite a wee bit of a delay is up to 11 issues. Pitiful Human Liza...

Re: Long Term Collectability of modern comics

I remember when everyone was wondering if Bronze keys were going to be long term keys. hey always had to be, so many underrated stories that were mis treated for years, underprinted in comparison to much more popular 60's, so many thrown away etc etc. I advised people in the early 2000's on what to...

Re: The

I've been rearranging boxes in my storage unit and realizing that at some point in the past 20 years, I have purposefully adopted a "I don't remember" style of collecting. What I mean is that I was always fascinated by stories of kids who find their grandfather's comics or baseball cards ...

Re: Undervalued Gems

I think these published ads are legit collectibles. It's the first time a character was published in print by the publisher. I can see that not being a first appearance, but still counting as "first time character appeared in print" or something along those lines. The Foom # 10 cover is a...

Foom 10 seems to be getting attention as 1st app New Xmen over Giant size X-men # 1 but another book that whilst scarce isnt an issue where a story was intended over a preview or advert

Ihave a room in storage at the store for my personal comics that get stacked randomly and looked at when i require some space, basically meaning I have to open the lids out of curiosity and i never recognise what the contents are being pleasantly surprised :)

Re: How many DU's & Defuncts (DFT) can you count ?

So 6 years later and no posts its really time to get this going again right :) I now have 140 boxes to go through, of which id say 60 are in lovely order and the rest need filtering, many are upgrades and multiples to check, so if i end up with close to 80 i will be surprised. Had a couple of really...
