I just picked up Bloodshot Unleashed #1 Gold CGC 9.8.


I am down to only needing 3 VEI Gold books in CGC 9.8 - Armorclads #1, Book of Shadows #1, and X-O Manowar Unconquered #1.

Any help with acquiring any of them would be greatly appreciated

Were the VEI golds only given out at cons? I only saw VEI at one convention (Miami in 2015 I think) but I picked up a bunch second hand over the years.

I've been following all the Don Rosa duck original art in the Heritage auctions but haven't bought anything as I doubt I'd be allowed to hang them up in the house.

Same here. I've yet to get one. I'm assuming since they are prestige format there is only 1 cover for each issue instead of endless covers like before?

For a start they could catch up with the Deluxe HCs by making:
1) Bloodshot Rising Spirits 1-8
2) Eternal Warrior (2013-2014) 1-8
3) Faith and the Future Force (2017) 1-4, Faith Ongoing #9-12, Faith Dreamside 1-4 and Faith's Wonderland Special #1

That is one of the copies that was not bound into Previews. I also have a 9.8 Orange. IIRC correctly someone from Valiant had a number of extra copies they printed that were not bound into previews and he was selling them off years ago. Those were some good prices. Makes me cry when I think how much more I paid for my copies of some of those books.

Not mine but I noticed a copy graded CGC 9.8 of HARBINGER #1 DMG Chinese Variant is less than 10 hours away from closing on eBay and only at about $50. (I paid many multiples of that for my copy). Someone might get a good deal

It would be nice if VEI would focus on fixing/making comics then spending time on licensing images for 200 pairs of shoes.

Cool. One more to add to the list and track down in CGC 9.8 along with Bloodshot Unleashed.

I don't have the 1% Gold tint. It would be nice to have in CGC 9.8 but I don't really consider it to be a gold cover. (Just like I don't consider Harbinger Renegade 5 to be a gold cover nor the Quantum and Woody (2020) #1 Fool's Gold cover to be one).

That is really neat. I didn't realize this even existed. Pretty cool.

The weird thing is prices continue to go up even though more books are being graded. I have little hope of resuming my abandoned project to have all teh Nintendo books in CGC 9.8. I'm still top of the registry but only half way complete
