Re: Canadian Thanksgiving

Columbus Day is shutter an utter pile of crap. What a great historical figure to remember. Ugh.

Re: Marvel/Disney playing hardball with FOX & Sony

Here is where big problem can come about by having these large media conglomerates owning these properties. Yes it is very nice to get all the kick *SQUEE* marvel movies we have gotten lately, and I really enjoy them and am not trying to hate on them. But as a comics fan part of me cringes knowing ...

Re: Marvel: "Biggest Event Ever"??

Secret wars aren't all that great a concept anyway, so I fail to see how it is going to make things really interesting. I read AvX and thought it was maybe the most uninspiring event ever. Boring, unimportant (yeah Professor X died, how many times has that happened) I think it is funny how they ...

Re: Pitch Valiant video game ideas!

I think the simpler the better. Valiant is not going to get the budget to do something amazing (video games are really expensive to make nowadays, the high end ones at least). My pick would be either a Fighter, which is simple to do, or a hack n slash like Marvel ultimate alliance but way cheaper ...

Re: New 52 - I am almost done....

Cyberstrike while I liked some aspects of man of Steel, that last fight scene totally ruined the movie for me as well. Superman is a symbol of hope, and I try to think of him when I am struggling with something petty. The fact that superman was more concerned with kicking the crap out of Zod instead ...

Re: New 52 - I am almost done....

Hey, so I have been reading old DC (I only collect trades) and have read some of the new 52, and I am wondering what they have done to upset you, I am not challenging your dislike or anything, and not trying to defend DC, is it the change in all the characters? Specially what change. I read them all ...

Re: Most important modern comic book

Yeah the Walking Dead while it is probably the most popular comic of the Modern era, I don't think it was that innovative. The Deadworld series predated that series was very similar (although inferior). Don't get me wrong the Walking Dead is a great book, but it TMNT might have been a big hit that ...

Re: Most important modern comic book

If it is pre 90's it has got to be Watchmen, it totally deconstructed the superhero genre, and they have never been the same since. If post 1990 I would say ultimate spider-man 1 because the pacing of that book changed the way most comics were written, and the visual style is imitated a lot.

Sorry about that, the only other site I post on is boardgamegeek, and there are so many people on that one I get my answer in like minutes, already have Shadowman pre-ordered. Can't wait, he was my favorite from back in the day, although I heard the new series had some issues...get it issues. :lol ...
