Re: Ninjak Superkillers #1

When did Parker and Norton work together on Ninjak prior to Superkillers? I did not enjoy the Parker/Pullido mini-series and was initially disappointed that Superkillers was a direct continuation. The spy genre is not my thing anyway. But I appreciate Mike Norton's art and liked the buddy dynamic b...

Hey guys, this is super weird but I'm just seeing a completely blank post here. No author and nothing to respond to. Anyone else getting that?

Re: Legacy Numbering

So, 174. Would you think to include Unconquered? That would push it to 180. Marvel does count series with slightly different titles in their legacy numbering. For example "Hulk" in the Incredible Hulk legacy numbering. If it's the main ongoing for that character at the time, it probably c...

Re: Legacy Numbering

I'd only include the numbered issues, from 0 to 68 for volume one, from 1 to 21 for volume two, and so on. Yearbooks, special issues, etc, are separate. Agree. Count the regular series issues only. If they had continued with only one volume those annuals, yearbooks, specials, etc. wouldn't be count...

Re: Legacy Numbering

The numbers for Action and Detective leave 5% of the run that was skipped over, rather than an estimated 60%+ of the run of X-O (haven't run the exact numbers, the 150 issues is an estimate, 68 + 50 + a few minis, Yearbook, VH2, etc) spread across many volumes and two to four publishers. Does it ma...

Re: Legacy Numbering

Legacy numbering would be a draw for me but only if it's done Marvel style summing up all the published issues. Assigning numbers for months when nothing was published actually offends me as a collector. If there's legacy numbering that means you should be able to put all the issues in a box in ord...

Re: Book of The Geomancers

I thought this was going to be a thread asking Alien to finally publish a collection of the Legends of the Geomancer. Now with a new publisher involved I think it would be the right time. That was a great series and deserves to find a wider audience. Maybe they can reprint select pages so as to kee...

Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR: SCORCHED EARTH

Yeah, what leonmallet said.

Eternal Warrior: Scorched Earth was run by Valiant directly, and fulfilled by a third party service of Valiant's choosing.

The new RPG is a licensed product and the Kickstarter campaign is being run by the licensee, not Valiant.

Re: New Valiant/Alien Releases: X-O Book One&#4 & Ninjak Superkillers Book One

I'm happy with the format and printing quality. Single issues tend to sit in my to-read pile and I end up reading a bunch in a row anyway, so having more pages in one book is good for me! I've never been a spy genre guy, and didn't really enjoy the previous Ninjak mini-series. I was initially disapp...

Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR: SCORCHED EARTH

But in all seriousness, no, it wasn't the bee's knees, but it was solid and enjoyable for me. I remember Dinesh once telling me the goal wasn't to hit a home run with every issue, but to just hit singles and be consistently good. This is a single or a double. No complaints about the product. The lat...

Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR: SCORCHED EARTH

Finally got around to reading this last night and I have to say...I LIKED IT! The villain was just ok for me, nothing to write home about, but I really appreciated the dynamics going on between Gilad, Armstrong, and Tama. A fun, solid read! BURN THE WITCH! Sorry, let me bring this up to board stand...

But I'm not trying to argue that D.M. isn't a petty b!tch, and if anything you getting Dinesh to call D.M. incompetent publicly is a win and worth the dented corners! Where did that happen? Re: Making the pilgrimage (Dec. 27th releases)

Cool. Just joined! I have a near complete Marvel 1980s collection but excluded licensed books and imprints including Star and New Universe. Hickman kind of kicked the door open by bringing Starbrand and Nightmask into Avengers, so I've been slowly building interest in checking out the New Universe t...

Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR: SCORCHED EARTH

My point though is that nobody at Shark Robot would even care if you insulted Valiant, even if they were for some reason watching Valiant socials. So someone from DMG would have to make a point to contact Shark Robot and ask them to *SQUEE* you over in such a petty way that would harm Shark Robot's ...

Hmmm… that’s interesting. Just checked Amazon (.ca) for a digital copy of XO Unconquered #4 and there’s no sign of it. Also no sign of the Ninjak Superkillers #1 either… but there *are* pre-orders for the *hardcover* trade editions of both XO Unconquered & Ninjak Superkillers on there… :hm: Som...

Re: Making the pilgrimage (Dec. 27th releases)

Mission accomplished! Just got back from my LCS. They had ~5 copies of X-O Unconquered #4 on the rack (~4 cover A and 1 cover B). No X-O deluxe unfortunately. And I forgot to check if they had Ninjak: Superkillers on the rack. But I received one of everything in my sub box. At first glance I really ...

You need to go back and read my comments. I haven't name called. I haven't said anything that isn't true. They attacked me in fact. Re: Alien Books: "I told you"

And I'd just add that the people working at Valiant and Alien are in fact real human beings too, and for as much as you want me to consider that you might be in an emotionally vulnerable place, you sure don't seem to extend the same basic human kindness to them. So now I'm calling you a hypocrite too.
