Re: Wrath of the Eternal Warrior Ending
I hate that Marvel does this so regularly now. There's no way I could get back into Marvel at this point, because if I wanted to catch up on anything I've missed it's nearly impossible to tell if I'm buying back issues from the same series anymore, especially with so many variant covers these days. ...

Re: August 2016 Sales Discussion
you're omitting a few DC crossovers. Amazons Attack didn't tie into the whole line, but it was actually bigger in scope than Identity Crisis. Countdown as probably their biggest ever, with 52 issues, tie-ins all year, and smaller spin-off events (Arena, the Search for Ray Palmer, Death of the New G...

and Ninjak is probably close to ending at #25... I wonder if the new adventures of Archer & Armstrong will go past #12... the following month they should have something to fill in the slot now that Brittania is over, and the month after that there will be an open slot following Bloodshot USA (a ...

Re: Wrath of the Eternal Warrior Ending
that's a shame, the first arc didn't impress me but I was really enjoying it after Labyrinth. I was optimistic that making it past issue 12 would have ensured it ran at least until 18 or 25.

Re: Newsarama: Stalinverse, Komandar Bloodshot standalone
I'm a big fan of this model that Valiant has been using since Book of Death. In fact, I wish they did more of it. It's frustrating that some of their characters like Shadowman, Quantum & Woody, Timewalker, Archer & Armstrong, Renegades, etc. disappear for years at a time, it would be nice if...

I expect it will be a new #1, but I would like to see legacy numbering at some point, like #75 or #100.

Re: 4001 AD #4 Discussion
well, I thought as an event 4001 was kind of underwhelming. 2 pages of recap, then 6 pages wrapping up the final battle. The rest of the issue was an epilogue. Rai just beats Father by hitting him with his sword. It wasn't a memorable fight, there wasn't any plan, strategy, or defining moment to it....

it looks like Bloodshot Reborn is ending an arc and continuing into Bloodshot USA. the big question is, will Bloodshot Reborn be back next month? if not, will it resume after Bloodshot USA?Bl00dsh0t wrote:Really happy to see Bloodshot Reborn AND Bloodshot USA

Well, I wasn't originally planning to go to this, but now all of a sudden I have an industry pass. Please bear with me, I have some last minute catching up to do. Are there any Faith and/or Armstrong cosplayers going? I'll be cosplaying as Archer and would love to get some pics together. I guess the...

Father as a Giant Worm? The creation of the first Rai? Japan shedding sectors killing millions? And taking the form of a dragon? Mention of the X-O Wars? The discovery of a dormant X-O Knight? Rai and Father about to go at it? the sectional destruction of Japan had already happened in Rai #12, so t...

Re: 4001 AD #2 Discussion
I'm still not seeing a reason for this series to be an event, it just reads like the next arc of Rai. Eternal Warrior is nothing more than a voice in the background along for the ride, he doesn't actually do anything or seem to be characterized in any way, really. Not much seemed to happen in this i...

Re: Imperium #16
Is that really all? It feels like we're going to lose focus on a whole corner of the world in a story that's still unresolved. I had really hoped there would be a Unity crossover or appearance (back when Unity was still a thing), since that team formed the last time a super-powered being took over a...

Re: Bloodshot: Reborn #13 Discussion
I really enjoyed the story overall, particularly the art. Although, Valiant seems to have already done this rude awakening segway to the next storyline in Wrath of the Eternal Warrior, but that doesn't detract from the quality of either. Some of the details of the Analog Man seem difficult to explai...

Re: April 2016 Sales Discussion
So A&A #1 did better than Archer & Armstrong #1, it sold 23,464 in 2012 vs 27,491 for the new series. But 2012's #2 sold slightly more (14,539 vs. 13,562) so I wonder how the ongoing sales will compare. Interestingly, Wrath of the Eternal Warrior #1 did phenomenally better than the 2013 seri...

Re: 4001 AD Issue 1 Discussion
So having been following Rai, I really enjoyed the book. However, it really does read more like Rai #13 so I wonder if there's enough of a draw to new readers who haven't been following Rai. Sure, there's some X-O elements introduced and Eternal Warrior, my hope is that more ties will be established...

Yeah, I think Rai #13-16 will be more like the X-O Armor Hunters tie-ins, serving as a prequel.

I just wanted to mention for any completionists that Geoffrey's Comics (and my LCS Hi De Ho Comics in Santa Monica) are selling their 4001 AD store exclusive in store for only $4.99 (or on eBay for $6.99 + $2.99 S&H).
