Re: Resurgence of the VALIANT Universe
Have to say, I had my doubts when the rights went to Alien, but I’ve been impressed with the creative teams being announced. The previews are the best the VALIANT books have looked in a while and it sounds like they’re developing/continuing the shared continuity from VEI/DMG before a soft reboot co...

Re: Bloodshot (2019) #2 discussion
After reading this issue I've decided to drop Bloodshot from my pull-list. This is the first Valiant title since I starting reading comics following the reboot in 2012 I've dropped mid story arc. Action - yes nice art - yes (if you're into that 90's comic feel) good story - no solid characterization...

Re: Killers #2 Discussion
I'm loving this series so far. The continuity is on point and the action is what I want from a Ninjak/Ninjak-themed book.
Went back and re-read Ninja-K #4 for Ninja-G origin which added a little more depth to the story. Starting to feel like Valiant is getting back on track

Re: Bloodshot - The Official Movie Novelization
Better to have a movie novelization than not have a movie novelization, I suppose. It's a great way to see what was written and not filmed, what was changed, and to clarify extra details like what someone was thinking or how something was described differently "in the novelization". Befor...

Pretty excited for this, and off the back of Fallen World. I'd love to see more mini's morph into ongoings or, at least have lasting impacts on titles directly proceeding them.

Re: Valiant Sales For July
The numbers are disheartening considering there are some decent enough stories here. Personally, I think the main problem (as many have already stipulated here), is the lack of recognizable tent-pole titles. Bloodshot Shadowman Harbinger Archer and Armstrong Unity (I'm including this because, as som...

Is there any continuity now?
Gotta admit, I'm really not reading much Valiant these days which saddens me as it wasn't that long ago I was picking near everything up. One of the reasons I've pretty much stopped buying Valiant is down to one thing: the universe doesn't feel connected anymore That being said, I'm not reading Live...

Re: Livewire #4 Discussion
I thought this issue was okay. It does well to reconcile the events of HWII and Livewire's character assassination to a degree but really, what we got from this arc could've easily been condensed into a single issue.
now the arc is done, so I am with Livewire. 2/5.
Side note - the art was great.

Re: Shadowman [2018] #11 Discussion
I finally got around to reading this and love the new direction of Jack. Finally feels like the character is ready to be what we were all hoping for since 2012. On the flip side, it's such a shame to see this series end now.. I read 8-11 in a single sitting and whilst the arc didn't add much to the ...

Re: Bloodshot: Rising Spirit #3 Discussion
Finally got around to reading this. I didn't mind the issue to be honest but really, we don't need more of Bloodshot's origin or examples of implanted memories. I thought Duane Swierczynki's run covered that off really well, as did Kindt's #0 issue too. This arc doesn't have any cohesiveness to it. ...

A year long story-line...sounds great but we now know that means little... (Bloodshot Salvation, Shadowman Vol.2) FVL is able to deliver the full story he wants to tell.

Valiant Teases Big Announcement Tomorrow
Saw this on twitter today, thought I'd share it here: From Robert Meyers twitter account: I'm not saying that @ValiantComics has a big announcement tomorrow, but I am saying that I just wrote what is now my favorite quote for a big announcement. Previously this would've generated loads of hype and s...

Re: Livewire #2 Discussion
Given this series is only solicited for 2 arcs (8 or 9 issues), I was hoping we'd get more bang for our buck. I'm still along for the ride (at least for the first arc). Fingers crossed #3 sees the action/story ramp up.

Love, love, love this slate of titles.
It’s great to see a return to 4002, Punk Mambo finally get her own mini, and the Ninja program still being part of the broader continuity.
War Monger and now Punk Mambo minis - good move imo!

Re: "Joe Illidge, No Longer Executive Editor at Valiant"
Would like to know what happened here. Was Joe fired due to sales? direction of the line (was that his job?)? Interesting to see if the company stays afloat with so much change in both back end staff and creative teams/titles. 2018 has felt like Valiant is a superhero universe struggling to find its...

Re: Valiant Classified: Big Plans for the Future…
There is so much potential with these characters which is hard to realize given the limitations on volume imo. as a consumer, I want to see more Valiant on the shelf at my local LCS +1 I'm hoping that the new management team is just pulling back for a while to get their feet under themselves and ha...
