Re: New Trades for $15? Isn't that too much.
$10 for the introductory volume. $15 afterwards. Pending the situation, like a "Unity"-type event, a price higher than that can be justified.
What bugs me are the extras or lack thereof in the Valiant trades. I was disappointed with the 1st X-O trade only including the variants and second printing ...

Re: Anyone reading The Massive or Fatale?
I know that the first issue of Fatale is free on Comixology, so if you have an account there, it's worth checking it out. Read that issue and liked it, but didn't seem worth trying to follow or play catch-up. Maybe later on, but I have a weird Comixology buying pattern.

Re: Any advice for where to start with marvel after 20 years
I got back into Marvel in 2011, and part of that was due to a few books. Dan Slott's run on Amazing Spider-Man/Superior Spider-Man (Amazing ended after #700; Superior launched last month) is pretty great and got me back to liking Spider-Man and reading him since before One More Day/Brand New Day ...

Re: What comics are you reading now?
I think reading it as singles month by month hurt my enjoyment of it. I think if I went back and read just the Batman issues again, I'd probably enjoy it more. Reading it in singles, it really felt like nothing was happening story wise, other than the Joker being crazy and I know that to be the ...

Re: Personal Current Rankings
I want to like Shadowman more since he was my favorite VH1 character but I thought the first arc was kinda meh. Plus it ranks low since it has the fewest issues for me to judge it.
Yeah, well that's the catch. Shadowman has only four issues to judge it by while the others have so many more. To ...

Here's where I place them in rankings. And, they are at the bottom of my pile for the same reason Bugsy does (although recently some favorites from other publishers have been floating to the top of the pile)

Re: Aside From Valiant....
When I returned to comics in 2011: mainly DC due to the New 52. Followed, like 9 books compared to 6 Marvel.
Now: Mainly Marvel (especially since I grew up liking Marvel more). At this point, about 10 Marvel books compared to 6 DC books.

Re: VALIANT May 2013 Solicits
I kinda want to see Amy Reeder do interiors for Harbinger after this arc. Love her cover!
Hope I don't end up with the variant since my LCBS hooks me up with one from time-to-time instead of the regular cover or the pullbox.

Re: Valiant Masters - Shadowman HC coming in May!
Having missed Valiants original run this doesn't bother me so much. However, if they continue to publish these Masters editions I hope the switch to paper back cause $25 bucks a pop for old stuff is a little iffy for me.

Valiant on Comixology - What's Next?
So, Comixology has been awesome for Valiant. A lot of classic books and runs have been collected and given some like me a chance to experience the original Valiant universe. New material has been released same-day-as-print for those without access to a comic shop and come with a little bonus content ...

Wow. Didn't expect a new Valiant Masters collection this soon, as there was a 4-month gap between Bloodshot and Ninjak. But, hey, a new HC collection that I will buy is a new HC collection that I will buy.

Re: What comics are you reading now?
I thought Hawkeye #7 was not all that great...definitely the worst of the series. He didn't mind Gil calling him Hawkguy back in Oct but in Dec he kept correcting him stating "eye" in issue #6. The story was just not that fluid. Kate looked terrible in this issue IMO. I believe the spoiler had more ...

The Sixth Gun - supernatural western. Probably one of my favorite indy books

Danger Club - "Twilight of the Sidekicks" for the lack of a better term. First trade is out and only $10. Really violent.

And I just finished reading the very first issue of it, which was (and still is at the time of this post) free on Comixology . Not a bad series and I do love the concept. Although I am confused as to why Nova's costume was red and surprised to see the "bucket-head" insult from Ultimate Spider-Man is ...

I understand that the company has a strong pantheon of available characters - and creating a new character may open up a can of worms in the whole ownership of characters - when Valiant at present has a qualified ownership of their stable of characters - and the Gold Key related properties are out ...

I am tending to go both, as I am split. I'm getting all the floppies, but yet want the trades & got both X-O & Harbinger v1s. So I just went with ice cream instead because I want an ice cream sandwich right now.

I've been reading the Cable & X-Force and did the new #1 Uncanny X-Force. They're actually not bad (WTH Cluster?!?), but the All New X-Men is really good.

The book is also one of DC's "Digital First" books, which offer a different book each day for 99 cents a chapter (Others include Ame-Comi, Arrow, Legends of the Dark Knight, Smallville: Season 11, Lil' Gotham, and the stories that make up Batman Beyond Unlimited). The next chapter comes out Tuesday ...

Guess the letters seal it. Just going by the curve it could have been more awesome:

Just FYI... the Archer & Armstrong #0 and Shadowman #0 books in May will replace the regular books for the month.
Both series will be back to regular numbering in June, and there won't be two books in May for those titles.

Personal rank...
1) Harbinger #8
2) X-O #9
3) Shadowman #3
A&A #6 and Bloodshot #7 are unranked but tied. Heck, I have the same feeling for this month's Shadowman but gave it "Show" due to it making me want to buy it in print instead of Comixology.
