Re: Which book would you like to see next from Valiant?

I dont see why Rai couldnt be set in the future again. I could see some kind of "Rais throughout time" thing mixed in, sort of like Simmons did with Iron Fist when he was editing that book, but just because Magnus isnt an opion doesnt mean they should abandon the 4001 concept. The idea of ...

Re: Which book would you like to see next from Valiant?

Shadowman is probably the most integral to the Valiant Universe given Darque, etc, but my heart says Rai. Maybe it's because that was the first Valiant book I ever bought (the free Unity #0 doesnt count I suppose). Just when I think "Valiant" the two images I get immediately are of Rai and...

Re: Possible 2nd wave Launch titles (2013?)

Shadowman, Rai, Eternal Warrior and Ninjak would be my guesses. It just won't be right unless there are titles in the future timeline. That was such a unique part of the original Valiant Universe...something that made it special. Eternal Warrior could bounce all over the timeline theoretically, so R...

1/2 Issues - Where you have to scan in a serial number coupon to redeem - that way no cutting required. Also I want Red Issues (ie Unity Red - CEAR) This is an awesome idea! Scan a QR code on various issues and recieve a special 1/2 or 0 issue. There'd have to be a limited number, or a way to tell ...

Re: Back-ups?

Back-ups would be AMAZING. Maybe after the first arc or two, once a character has been reintroduced to the audience. And Valiant should totally hit up some nostalgic promotions like the flip-cover. No one does that anymore. And :hm: chromium...lots of chromium. I like the "2nd Wave&q...

Re: Who is NOT getting the 1:20 or 1:50 variants?

If I had the money, I'd get the 1:20 and 1:50 variants just to have them. Since I don't have the money, I'll settle for the regular issue and the pull-box exclusive variant for each of the titles. I was never a big fan of variant covers to begin with. They usually *SQUEE* me off some, actually. But...

Re: WOW! Just Finished Harbinger: The Beginning

I think X-O aged better than Harbinger. A& A was even better. Like any concept rooted in the "average teenager" there are always updates that need to be made. Had the book been continually published since the 90s, one would assume those changes would have been made over time. Of cours...

WOW! Just Finished Harbinger: The Beginning

In preparation for the Valiant relaunch I bought all 3 of the recent hardcover trades and began by reading Harbinger. I had never actually read most of the original dozen or so issues as they were quite hard to come by for a 12 year old back in '92. All I have to say is WOW! Every issue is excellent...

Re: Ain't It Cool News on Valiant 2012

And in a "What is he talking about?" moment Simons first states that he couldn't mention the first thing he was most excited about, but the second thing he did mention was Barry Windsor-Smith. "I'm a gigantic Barry Windsor-Smith fan and I love ARCHER & ARMSTRONG. We may have some...

Re: Harbinger #1 covers - all-on-one-page (under constructio

I totally agree with the above comments. I don't really like the regular cover at all. I think it would work great as the first interior page (logos, credit boxes, and such at at the top), but not as a cover. However, that 1:20 cover is incredible. I wish that were the pullbox cover and the pullbox...

Re: Harbinger #1 covers - all-on-one-page (under constructio

The pull box cover is pretty sweet even black and white, scanned and grainy...I guess that means the actual version will be even more awesome. Love the 1:20 variant and wish that was the regular cover...still kinda wired we haven't seen the regular cover yet. What do you mean? The regular cover is ...

Re: Who is NOT getting the 1:20 or 1:50 variants?

I dont really care about the variants, I'm looking forward to the stories (like many others). Some of the variants are cool looking but I refuse to spend extra money on them. I am not into variants anymore either, but I want to support Valiant as much as possible. So I figure, why not pick up the f...

I won't even be getting a pullbox variant as my LCS requires you to have 10 titles to get one  You should print out this page: http://www.dcbservice.com/search.aspx?search=Manowar" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Show them the $1.99 price, and remind them that you have ...

Re: What are your Valiant PR opportunity ideas???

Getting some of the talent on G4s Attack of the Show would be good PR. Or even just an in depth story. That is Geek central. Trying to think of some famous self-professed comic fans, but all that comes to mind is Nick Cage...unfortunately he would probably insist on playing Bloodshot in the feature...

Re: iFanboy Harbinger Article

Tose character sketches are just that, sketches. No telling what may or may not be used. Aja's sketches of Iron Fists new costume were like a dozen or more before they settled on one. The Psiots thing threw me off too, but it would make sense given that Harbinger as a name described Haradas company....
