Wasn't that movie called Avatar?
If they get James Cameron to shoot it in 3D, I'm there. As long as he's not writing the story.

Re: Valiant army needed today

The Vine worship their plant life, so it'd make sense that their ships would have plants built into them some way. I agree, but a spaceship wouldn't have a plant hanging out the window. I'm leaning toward the "alien base" view of what's in the artwork, given that a "tree" is vis...

Man that looks sweet! I can't wait for this *SQUEE* to hit the shelves. Question: Does the red circle on his chest look more like it's on a shirt rather than his skin? Kinda looks that way to me. :? Either way, :thumb: Yeah, it looks like a shirt to me. The ring at the top of the neck makes me thin...

Five of the same one?
There is one Valiant FCBD book this year. I chose five copies of this one book, gentlemen.
Well played!

Re: Read a Few Issues of X-O

IMO The Steel Nation TPB, Harbinger Children of the Eighth Day TPB, X-O retribution TPB and Solar Alpha and Omega TPB are must reads for anyone who consideres themselves a valiant fan... They are all fairly easy to find on the cheap too... I just got Solar Alpha and Omega and read it this weekend. ...

Re: Read a Few Issues of X-O

Just out of curiosity, what issues did you read of each title? I read the Harbinger TPB - enjoyed it. I read the Rai TPB - didn't really care for it. Bloodhsot - read 1,3, 6, 9, 16 - not really my style from what I saw. X-O Manowar - read 7, 15, 18, 19, 22 - loved 'em! :) You should get the X-O TPB...

Re: So I just finished reading X-O Manowar...

I wonder what other historical people they abducted? Jimmy Hoffa? Amelia Earhart? Jim Morrison? the other guy from Wham? Would LOVE to see Morrison do a cameo. There was an issue of Captain America a few years back that had Hawkeye taking Cap to a bar filled with people like James Dean and Groucho....

Jason Momoa did a great job playing Ronon on Atlantis and seems a natural for action roles like these. I don't know if he can pull off a great Conan, but it won't be for lack of action on his part. \ I'd rather see him cast as Kull. I think it would be a better fit. Kevin Sorbo will ALLWAYS be Herc...

Re: Will you read this line if it's relaunched without Shoot

I'm late to the party on this one. I picked up the trades of Solar and Magnus, so I don't know anything about the delays the books initially faced, and have only read the Solar one. Maybe it's because I had read some of the Unity books right before hand, but I felt the story after the 1st book was s...

Yeah, I just read the entire Unity Saga again over this past vacation. Such an amazing concept, well worth picking up the trade or individual issues that combine.

Re: Digital?

They include digital copies with certain DVD and Blu-ray movies, so maybe we'll see this trend with comics in the near future. Whoever buys a physical book can also download a digital copy for free or at a much reduced rate. DC is doing this with Justice League. They offer regular print versions fo...

I'm sure a sentient good skin could figure a way around that. ;) You would think, right ? But that was my first thought when I first laid eyes on the pic and I'll be interested to see how the armor can make that happen in a logical way. The armor would have to offer complete flexibility if i...
