Re: Archer and Armstrong #0 Free Today only
My only criticism of offering Archer #0 is it makes not a lot of sense out of context, doesn't deliver the humor of the normal A&A, and so forth. The regular A&A #0 (Armstrong #0?) would have made more sense as far as drawing in new readers.

Re: Magnus #2
The " transmission reading" was initially confusing to me as well; however, I think that sets up for a reveal that Magnus, while human, wasn't born, but rather created ala eugenics or something, by A1, let's be realistic, martial arts can be taught, but deciphering radio transmissions in ...

Themed-slots are kind of interesting. There was an LOTR slot that looked cool.
That said, I'd rather put my money in an actual game, like a pinball machine.

Re: If Valiant Movies (or TV)...
I'm not sure what you mean. Like a tie-in comic like DC did for Arrow or something (http://arrow.wikia.com/wiki/Arrow_%28comic_book_series%29" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)? They might do something like that, but those are almost always a promotional type of thing, not som...

Re: Raddies are PTs?
As I mentioned in another thread, if you look at the Raddies arm holding the gun when Rai slices it, his arm appear to be mechanical, robotic. Rai guts him and he connects two wires (which we never see), and there's an explosion. Is it possible Raddies are PTs? Or some other kind of robot? Is that ...

New 52 Riddler...*BATMAN ZERO YEAR spoilers*
So, he's now basically the most dangerous/successful Batman villain of all time, right? I mean that's some Ra's Al Ghul level stuff right there. It makes the Joker look like...a joke. Like chronologically, in the New 52 universe, did all the villains in Gotham pull off their most daring, outrageous ...

Re: Humble Bundle Game Pack includes Shadowman
I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream is also an almost forgotten classic. The only person I've ever seen do a review of it is The Spoony One . A deeply disturbing game (based on an equally disturbing short story ). We had given AM sentience. Inadvertently, of course, but sentience nonetheless. But it ...

Re: Essay: Diversity in Valiant *SPOILERS*
The great thing about this character is I can always do a "Part 2" and "Part 3" later on after I do write-ups for some others, 'cause there's a LOT to talk about with Kris.

Essay: Diversity in Valiant *SPOILERS*
Hello, all. I've written the first in what I hope are many essays about diversity in the Valiant universe and how Valiant seems to strive avoid the tired stereotypes and archetypes of the comics industry. I hope you enjoy this read. ----- Hello, and welcome to the first in what is planned to be a se...

I don't think Nergal was ever mentioned even once until Eternal Warrior #1. Anyway, in writing a review for this, I'm trying to put together a cheat sheet. I've taken stuff from this topic and combined it with my own knowledge but I'm still stuck on a few. Here's what I got so far: Page 1 (top to bo...

Re: Archer & Armstrong #20 Discussion
Lot of comic book references in that first part, too (Thor, TMNT, Silver Surfer, etc.). Pop culture overload. Jim Morrison as the villain is truly bizarre. Also the whole Hotel California thing... Anyway, it seems like since they can never leave, they might as well.... http://i61.tinypic.com/ftemja....

Re: Unity #6 Discussion (spoilers)
I'm more interested in this issue's connections to the Null/Immortal Enemy, as Silk seems to be using the visual code developed by the Null before they invented the laser beam method, in conjunction with the manufactured virus. Is this the same exact method the Null were using? The virus wasn't ment...

so does anybody actually look like the race they're supposed to be? Bloodshoot is a black guy with white skin, Rai is an Asian with white skin, and Bleeding Monk is a white guy who looks Asian??? :? In the issue it's mentioned that the Monk has actually changed his appearance over the years. "...

Re: Eternal Warrior on Hiatus from May
This hiatus has me worried for a few reasons. 1. Whenever i see a creator "confirm" a "hiatus" on a title and the publisher isn't saying anything, it seems to be a prelude to the title being canceled. 2. The excuse that its on hiatus because Rai is being introduced doesn't hold ...

I would have rather that she was an unattractive woman, that would have made her interesting rather than just another pretty face. That would make her like Amanda Waller. Of course, DC recently changed her from a middle-aged black woman built like a linebacker to a young supermodel, so actually tha...

Any of the core group would be a big deal, though. Faith is protected by foretelling, though. Flamingo, Kris or Torque seem up for grabs. We don't know that "Faith" is the Renegades' Faith. It could refer to someone else named Faith, or someone pious that took "Faith" as a coden...

I actually think Malgam (which clearly is supposed to sound like Amalgam, implying that Malgam is an amalgam of some humanoid creature and an X-O Armor) is Gafti. Some of the armor remained in his system and is trying to reconstitute him from being blown to smithereens, but something's gone horribly...

Felt rushed. As others have mentioned, the resolution of the fight with the abettors and a resolution of his past with the bully should have been this issue's story in full, the confrontation with Tremble the entirety of the next issue. Instead it felt tacked on. But the art was great, as it has bee...

I think the subtext of choosing to manipulate the world instead of accepting it as it is was borne out in the actual physical actions of his students--some chose to accept their fates while others fought back. So he was probably of two minds on this himself, but being pinned to the rock and experien...

The only Dynamite books I read are the Mark Waid Green Hornet ones and the Shadow, so hopefully they "leave those alone" as I like how they are done at this point.

Re: Harbinger Death
Peter could die. I try to separate the original universe from the reboot--I can accept him dying in this new retelling and not consider to be "repetitious" if its done in a way that gives emotional weight to it. Would you expect a new version of Romeo & Juliet to have them live at the ...
