Alpha and Omega parts 1-10 were meant as a prequel story - definitely read before diving in to the Solar series. Solar #1 proper picks up shortly after the events of the "giant" panel at the end of part 10.

This was a promotional piece around '93. Last I heard (from Sean Chen) was that Bernard Chang has the original. I have a poster of it that was given out on a Valiant tour to a local store back in the day.
