Re: The ‘tell Alien which Valiant book needs fixing’ poll
My question would be, what can Alien do bring notice to VALIANT. From Saga using breastfeeding on the cover to their first issue to TidalWave making comics about certain political figures, those surely are good examples of how to rile people up to get free publicity for one's comic books, no? What ...

No, I didn't buy it. Just looking at the solicitation was enough to see it for what it is. A total disgrace and a joke. At least from the perspective of someone who cares about those characters and the original universe. I'd pay money for Marvel not to disgrace the New Universe in such a manner. It...

I despise legacy numbering, it's what makes impossible to keep track of titles, in any format print or digital, single issue, trades, and hardcovers.

Depends. Some licensed comics worth the money, energy, time, and headaches because they're popular and well known and bring in readers, and others aren't like IMHO Robotech because the general hated that many fans have towards Harmony Gold. Now while I'm fan of Robotech but I've lost a lot interest...

Re: Saw and liked recent movie DREDD ... your thoughts?
It's a good action/sci-fi movie but not much else. Overall it's a more an action/sci-fi movie that has owes a lot of it's story of Dredd and Anderson fighting through a skyscraper filled with crooks to the film The Raid and even Die Hard 1 than anything else.

Re: Bragging rights - your best Dead Universe deal of late?
Well I bought Deity: Requiem a one-shot that ended the Deity Universe, which is a shame that while it's convoluted lore it did have a lot of cool ideas but it's weird mash-up of superhero/sci-fi/fantasy/cyberpunk/teen drama/comedy/action and whatever else it's creators were either into (or thought t...

Re: What video game are you currently playing?
Assassin's Creed: Valhalla not as good as the previous games Assassin's Creed: Origins and Assassin's Creed: Odyssey (the latter was insanely fun) I will say that Valhalla is large in terms of locations and things to do and explore. I'll probably never get the hand of how it handles hiding in plain...

Re: Top 5 Non-Big 2 Superhero Universes
Ultraverse was a fun superhero universe, it wasn't trying to reinvent the wheel, it was mostly by creators whose careers had peaked and they were on a plateau. They showed that back in the 90s you could have a superhero line that could rival anything from Marvel, DC, Valiant, Defiant, Image, and the...

DC should also get rid of Geoff Johns too, because he has helped to destroy DC just as much, if not more than DiBio, ever did.maraxusofkeld wrote: ↑Thu Mar 05, 2020 11:23:52 am Is Geoff Johns still a creative force there? Final Fantasy VII: Remake which is a damn good game for what is basically a prologue to a larger story. If you're expecting just a 1-1 remake of the original game with new graphics and voice acting then you might want to readjust your expectations going in, you get that but with a lot of new stuff ...

This thread is playing out all across the internet in various forums and in offices, living rooms, etc. Granted, they’re not talking comics, but instead cars, gardening, books, etc. The theme is the same though: “The other side is evil.” I’m guilty of it.
